This day, November 18, three years ago - we released Jigoku Shoujo Live Action ep1v2 and this is usually the date where we celebrate the group's anniversary :3 I don't honestly remember when was the exact date when me and magicalcrap-sama talked we form a group in subbing the then not so good subs of Jigoku Shoujo Live Action series but from D-Addicts post, it was this day that we released ep1.

So Happy 3rd Anniversary SkewedS Subs-Scans! *confettis*

Since this is the 3rd Anniversary, well, we have 3 releases, as mentioned in the microblog plurk posts in leftside of the main page - by the way, did you noticed that? Hopefully you will get more updates on what's going on with the series you're following with us through that microblog posts.

Also, if you noticed, the layout is different and actually you can select 11 other themes of this skin. Thanks to Antechinus-dono who designed this skin for SMF.

But if you like the old one better, or maybe the much older one in our older site during our 2nd year run, or maybe something more basic - as a user, you can do that now :3 Kindly just go to Profile > Look and Layout Preferences > on Current Theme, click "change". I would most likely tweak stuffs here and there in the skins but those won't be as major as you what you are seeing now.

Just so you know, we are always recruiting - especially translators, timers and typesetters. It's better if you already have experience in most of those fields. For the people that are following our releases, you know the quality of the subs we release - so it's best that we also have trained and skilled people to make the quality of our releases ^_^ Kindly PM me (zeldAIS) or Draiken Talkos-dono in case you want to join us :3

Our first of the three releases this SkewedS Subs-Scans 3rd Anniversary! A very short clip based from the short manga series of Adachi Mitsuru - Idol Ace.

If you're watching Cross Game, probably one of the best anime that is currently showing right now, and watched ep18 - yes, this is the movie she was taking an audition on.

This was actually the release that was done almost on the last few days just to make the releases for the SkewedS 3rd Anniv to consist of 3 releases XD If you read our microblog plurk updates, the original 2 releases were postponed to be released on later dates, until we can be fully satisfied with the quality subs that we can be proud to be released.

The vob raw of this release had been sitting on my harddisk for a long while now and I had been planning to sub it for a long time since it is a short clip. I was actually waiting for MJN-Gekkostate's release of episode 18 of Cross Game. MJN-Gekkostate's subs of Cross Game, in my very honest opinion, among the many subbers that are subbing the great incarnation anime of Adachi Mitsuru manga, is the best out there. Oh, to be clear, we are not affliated with the group and I'm just honestly recommending what is the best group, in my very honest opinion, that is subbing Cross Game ^^;;;

Given this opportunity, let me say this in advance - I, zeldAIS is very interested if there will be future reincarnations of any of the mangas of Adachi Mitsuru, which are in JDrama or JMovie form, and SkewedS will most likely sub them. So far, the ones that are already subbed are H2 JDrama (subbed by Studio Oto which is now merged with SARS fansubs), Touch Live Action movie (which I believe, the original R2 DVDs already have subs), and Rough (subbed by Kanji Subs).  The old unsubbed yet Hiatari Ryoukou & Jinbei JDramas, are personally in my future plans to be subbed.  In accordance to that, if anyone is interested in subbing those with us - translating, timing, typesetting especially - kindly PM zeldAIS in our forums :3

Our second release of our 3rd Anniversary - K-ON!'s ending theme "Don't Say Lazy" sang by Houkago Tea Time (the K-ON! band) and one of the quite popular all female band these days, Scandal.

If you noticed, this release consists of the ending sequence of K-ON! anime itself, the short talk and introduction of the band, Scandal and their performance in Music Japan AniSong special.

This was also done around a week ago and wasn't really one of the supposed releases for our anniv ^^;; Nevertheless, I personally have been planning to sub this for quite a while ever since I watched the Music Japan AniSong special earlier this year.

I'll be honest, I, zeldAIS, am quite spoiled with all female bands XD Which explains the avatars and sigs of most my forum nicks - those rotating avatars and signatures are from another all female band - Maria (not to mention most of these artists are relatively cute X3)

I, zeldAIS, personally have plans to release more of these music related videos including Zone Pota~jyu and Yumemiru hajimatta bakari DVD, guestings of Stereopony, Scandal, Zone, Maria and Chatmonchy in various music variety shows. And most likely also the Platinum Days DVDs of Princess Princess.  Hmm... I should find which part of my harddisk I put those Stereopony and Scandal Utatane feature interviews. Of course, abovementioned are still plans at the long list I have at the moment and hopefully I sing the lyrics of the 2 lines of this release to get to those soon XD

During the years of SkewedS Subs-Scans, we have released subbed music videos and music related stuffs. Our first music video released was the song from Barbie's Cradle "Good Day" way back in our first year when the very talented expjeans-dono was starting out. Like that release, this was also used as training video for new people that join us. LuffysAngel-dono, hope you had fun learning the mechanics and behind the scenes of fansubbing X3

Lastly, this song is dedicated to all those fansubbers and non-fansubbers who tend to procastinate - "Please don't say you are lazy! Datte hontou wa crazy!" XP

Happy Anniversary to Skewed Studios Fansubs and Scanlations!

The last of SkewedS Subs-Scans 3rd Anniv release - Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo 2002. By the way, this is the only one from the originally planned releases that was really been able to be released XD

Of course, the recent very popular anime movie was also based on the same light novel which this release was based from. This is loosely like the original 1984 movie and also the 1997 movie, but was modernized to the 2002 setting.  

It just also happens that this stars the Morning Musume Idols, namely - Abe Natsumi, Iida Kaori and Kago Ai. And this is one of the 3 Seishun! Love Stories special aired in 2002. If you downloaded this for the Hello! Project idols sake, don't worry about the 2 others unsubbed at the moment - as SacredCultivator-dono, one of the QC'rs of this release, mentioned that the other 2 are also underway in his group :3

But if you're like me that is interested in watching this because it is Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, have fun :3 Let's see if time and resources permit us to also work on the 1997 movie and 1994 TV Series, ne

After you watched this and haven't watched the anime movie, I suggest you do watch that most recent incarnation of this great story - the recent anime honestly made me go tearjerky ;A;

Oh, did I mentioned that the actor playing Fukamachi is also the fiance and android of that new genius in Zettai Kareshi special?

I should get back to working to all those series that's been backlogged, seriously Real busy life things sure cuts those time working on the great series we are working on. Oh, if you're wondering if we are going to still do Negima, we will most likely will - 2-3 of our new recruits actually only joined because of that series :3

A short teaser clip of next year's incarnation of Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. Might as well release and post it while we just recently released the 2002 version not so long ago during our 3rd Year Annniversary. We will most likely do it so look forward to it! (as long as R2 DVD doesn't have english subs already and the movie isn't licensed relatively quick outside Japan with english subs) /me so excited of this version *o*
