Synopsis/Plot (Idollica)
One of the most popular cult action TV programs in Japan, the three part series followed the story of Asamiya Saki, whose persona was adopted by three subsequent girls through the years as the previous incarnation retired from service, sort of like James Bond. The girls in the series were extraordinary high school students with exceptional skills that were recruited by a secret government agency to perform covert operations, usually where initial deception was an advantage (after all, who would suspect a high school girl to be a government agent?). The leader's main weapon was a metal yoyo on a chain that a well-trained agent could use to devastating effect.

now back to topic - even though the show is old - it still really rocks! The Sakura Crest really is a big thing in this series. and kindly note that the first series is the one closest to the story of the original manga which it was based.

You can buy either Saitou Yuki CD song collection in CDJapan. Or maybe the Sukeban Deka Song Collection also in CDJapan.

I'm not sure myself if there are still available single of it - if there is - it's probably rare as if i'm not mistaken, LPs and cassette tapes were the in thing that time

Apparently Doctor Man is also in Kamen Rider Super-1 (but I haven't watched Super-1 yet so I have no idea which episode he appears as the mentor of Super-1)

After watching this show for a while, I asked myself, "Whatever became of Saitou Yuki?" I watch a lot of Jdorama, and have not seen her. Or so I thought. It turns out she is playing the part of "Emiko" in "Shokojou Seira" this spring! What a change in role! Instead of being a tough, in-control sukeban, she now plays a hopeless, ditzy, whiny, 40-something unmarried younger sister to the tough school principal. At first I did not like this character, but now that I know it is "our" Saki playing the role I am quite impressed with her acting skills. It is also an interesting study in aging. Watching these two doramas simulatenously, sometimes it is hard to believe I am watching the same person, just 22 years later.

VulEagle! Kagayake! Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan! So the episodes in the first DVD of Sukeban Deka 1 has been released so far. We will most likely also release custom subbed DVDs of the series at AsianDVDClub in DVD9 format, only adding the custom English subs. Kindly check our plurk microblog regarding that release. The multipassed reencoded custom subbed DVD5, that also the menus and everything possible will be English translated, will also be released in public in our site.
